Upcoming: Power Breakfast In Celebration of World Environment Day

The Barbados Environmental Conservation Trust (BECT), UN Global Compact Network Caribbean, and the Barbados International Business Association (BIBA) will be hosting a Power Breakfast event in celebration of World Environment Day, under the theme: “Business Leaders For A Sustainable Barbados“. This convening is designed to engage corporate leaders in advancing sustainability and climate resilience across Barbados.

The event aims to offer a platform for knowledge exchange, showcase local and regional success stories, and encourage new partnerships that can lead to real, measurable environmental impact. It is guided by the following key objectives:

  • Mobilise Resources: Support new and ongoing projects led by BECT through corporate financial engagement.
  • Raise Awareness: Build understanding among corporate leaders about the business case for climate action.
  • Foster Collaboration: Connect businesses, NGOs, and government agencies to spark partnerships.
  • Showcase Innovations: Highlight innovative local environmental initiatives.

The morning will feature a panel discussion with sustainability leaders, a grantee showcase highlighting on-the-ground innovation, and opportunities to network with key players in Barbados’ climate and business sectors.
